Exciting New Eligibility Expansion Brings Membership Opportunities
For the first time in the history of Howard County Education FCU (formerly HCTA FCU) we have expanded our Charter from a Single Common Bond to a Multiple Common Bond. The bond charter amendment approved by the Board of Directors at the December 2011 meeting allows the credit union to begin expanding membership to associated groups of the Howard County Public School System.
The first new group, as approved by NCUA, is all high school students in the Howard County Public School System. High School students may open an account as the primary account holder with a HCPSS student ID, and a parent or legal guardian as a joint-owner on the account. Once the student has become a member, their immediate family members are also eligible to join. Note that the Winter Newsletter will read only Senior Year students and Millionaire's Club members, because our final approval came just days following our newsletter deadline. All current HCPSS High School students are eligible.
If you know of an organization or associated group who serves HCPSS and might wish to become a member organization of the Credit UInion, please have them contact Janet Oursler.
